ABOUT ME
I grew up on the Welsh Borders where a love of spending time with animals and being outdoors was cultivated. Being active was just part of every day life and being too busy to eat biscuits with a cup of tea was the norm!
Fast forward a good few years (no, I am not putting how many on here!) and I am in London as a single Mum, COVID had hit just two months after I arrived back in the UK and we were all stuck inside with nothing to do but eat, watch TV and work (for those of us still had work available to us).
By the time my child was a few months over two years old, COVID had mostly passed, and I was ready to go back to work. What was a country girl, who grew up riding horses, to do in this big old city. I did what most people in London do, I found an office job.
Mostly due to the desire to feel empowered by exercising again, I began taking self defence and martial arts classes. Due to ill health making this difficult to continue I decided to begin my journey to qualify as a Personal Trainer. My motivation at the time was to learn about the gym, nutrition and how to make home work outs really work for me without having to pay monthly subscriptions to have apps that I wasn't sure I was enjoying anyway.
Having struggled to juggle being a single parent, an employee and, well, just me when I have the time, I understand how hard even considering changing your lifestyle can be on top of everything else. Finding some 'you' time can be tough in this world where we are expected to always be available. That's where I come in!
Your health is more valuable than you realise, and making small sustainable steps towards improving your health is achievable. I am here to guide you, answer your questions and hold you accountable for looking after number 1 - YOU. It isn't until you lose your health that you realise how much you valued it in the first place.
